Sailors, officers, and Navy civilians soon will be able to air their concerns about administrative red tape that serves primarily to hinder mission readiness. The service unveiled its Chief of Naval Operations’ Reduce Administrative Distractions (RAD) TEAM Web site July 1, providing an outlet for those with ideas about how to solve administrative problems. The site, http://navyrad/ideascale.com, will function much like a social-media network. Visitors can make comments and vote on posts. The first stage of the new site will be fully functional by July 31. Future iterations will debut at the end of August and September respectively, allowing platforms for analysis of the site’s input and administrative plans for incorporating suggested changes.
