New Joint PAO Command Unfurls Colors

The newly formed Defense Media Activity, which combines public affairs offices from each of the armed services, unfurled its colors during an Oct. 20 ceremony at the Pentagon. The new command combines the Army Broadcasting Service, Soldiers Radio and TV, the Soldiers Media Center, the Naval Media Center, the Air Force News Agency, all Marine Corps information assets, the Army and Air Force Hometown News Service and the American Forces Information Service. Its headquarters will be Fort Meade, Md.
