Nate Boyer, a former Army Special Forces soldier, has signed a contract with the NFL Seattle Seahawks. Boyer could make the team as a long snapper. “I’m just thrilled to get an opportunity,” Boyer told NFL Network. The 34-year-old veteran served combat tours in both Afghanistan and Iraq. After leaving the Army, Boyer made the team at the University of Texas as a walk-on and played in 38 straight games for the Longhorns.
