Children of deployed service members can again take advantage of free summer camps across the country. For the fifth year, the National Military Family Association (NMFA) is again opening registration for its Operation Purple Camp Experience, at 34 sites in 26 states. The camps offer youngsters a chance to learn how to cope with a parent’s deployment, and spend time with other children who face the same circumstances. The week-long camps offer boating, hiking, horseback riding, swimming, and other outdoor activities.
