Three-quarters of all Defense Department employees who were once part of the National Security Personnel System (NSPS) have moved back to the General Schedule System as of Sept. 30, the Defense Department announced Oct. 6. Another 61,000 of 226,000 employees still must make the switch from NSPS, which will end on Jan. 1, 2012.
