OPM Launches New Long Term Care Website

The Office of Personnel Management has announced the launch of a new and improved website for the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP). The FLTCIP offers group rates to federal employees and annuitants, active and retired members of the uniformed services, and their qualified relatives. The new website contains revamped educational sections on the basics of long term care and long term care insurance, along with a frequently-asked-questions section. It also includes a tool to calculate the average cost of care in 2005 for home health care, assisted living facilities and nursing homes in the customer’s area, and another tool to calculate premiums for the FLTCIP’s four pre-packaged plans and its customized plans.
