Pentagon Submits ‘Black Budget’

The Defense Department submitted a $13.3 billion request to Congress to cover its 2015 Military Intelligence Program (MIP) activities. Because the so-called “Black Budget” contains provisions for classified materiel and activities, details are not being released to the public. The Pentagon plans to submit a related MIP request for 2015 overseas contingency operations later this year.
