Petraeus Assumes Afghanistan Command

Petraeus was commander of U.S. Central Command before assuming his new job. McChrystal resigned after Rolling Stone magazine published an article that quoted him making critical remarks about U.S. policy and disparaging ones about government leaders, including Vice President Biden.
