Predator Crashes in Afghanistan

The Air Force announced that an MQ-1 Predator unmanned aircraft crashed in southern Afghanistan on July 21. The Air Force statement did not specify the nature of the Predator’s mission, other than to say the plane typically flies armed reconnaissance missions. A board will meet to determine the cause of the crash, the Air Force stated.
