The Air Force is providing more than 900 recordable children’s books to learning centers at six of the service’s Central Command locations. Using the recordable books, airmen who are separated from their families can record themselves reading the books. In turn, the recorded books will be played back for their children, who would have the opportunity to listen to the stories as they are read in their parent’s own voices. The Air Force Library Program and Directorate of Services invested $30,000 to provide the service. More information is available online at http://myairforcelife.com.
