Save for the Army National Guard, all of the active and reserve components either met or exceeded recruiting goals through March for the 12-month period that began last Oct. 1. The active Navy reported 15,151 accessions, the active Marine Corps reported 10,625, the active Air Force reported 14,353, the Navy Reserve reported 3,756, the Air National Guard reported 4,206, and the Air Force Reserve reported 4,255 – all meeting their projected goals. The active Army slightly exceeded its accession goal, with 27,701, while the Army Reserve reported 14,095 accessions, ahead of its goal of 12,852. The Marine Corps Reserve reported 4,485 accessions, ahead of its goal of 4,216. The Army Guard, with 24,706 accessions, missed its goal of 25,991.
