Russia and China are posing an increasing threat to the U.S. Navy’s dominance of the seas, a senior Navy admiral believes. Adm. Philip Davidson, commander of U.S. Fleet Forces Command, told National Defense Magazine Oct. 12 that the two countries have continuously increased their cyber arsenals during the past 15 years, and are building and testing new ballistic missile submarines. Davidson also cited actions taken by the Islamic State, Iran, North Korea and other terrorist organizations.
