A security breach of a contractor’s computer likely compromised personal information of more than 134,000 sailors, Navy Times reported. The contractor, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Services, told the Navy of the breach in October. So far, a Navy investigation has not revealed any misuse due to the data breach. “The Navy takes this incident extremely seriously – this is a matter of trust for our sailors,” said Vice Adm. Robert Burke, the Navy’s personnel chief. The service is in the process of notifying the sailors who may have been affected.
