Selva Confirmed as JCS Vice Chair

The Senate confirmed the nomination of Air Force Gen. Paul J. Selva July 31. Selva moves into the second-highest military rank from Scott Air Force Base, Ill., where he served as commander of U.S. Transportation Command. Selva’s confirmation came shortly after the Senate approved Marine Corps Gen. Joseph F. Dunford Jr., as the next chairman of the Joint Chiefs.
