Service Secretary Nominations Announced

President Trump has nominated Philip Bilden to succeed Ray Mabus as secretary of the Navy, Heather Wilson to succeed Deborah Lee James as secretary of the Air Force, and Vinnie Viola to succeed acting secretary of the Army Robert M. Speer. Bilden, a West Point graduate, is a retired equity investor. Wilson, an Air Force Academy graduate, represented New Mexico in Congress. Speer, a former soldier, most recently served as principal deputy assistant Army secretary — financial management and comptroller.
