Services Meet Recruiting Goals

Each of the four armed services met or exceeded their active-duty, reserve, and National Guard recruiting goals for December, the Defense Department announced Jan. 10. During that period: the Air Force recruited 1,772 active-duty airmen 561 reservists, and 624 Air Guard members; the Army recruited 789 active-duty soldiers; 4,985 National Guard members, and 3,280 reservists; the Marine Corps recruited 1,992 active-duty Marines and 410 reservists; and the Navy recruited 1,891 sailors and 682 reservists.
