The Army Special Operations Command is finalizing plans to establish a deployment plan that would offer more balance in the time they spend deployed and at home. The Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA) reported April 11 on its web site that SpecOps commander Lt. Gen. Kenneth Tovo outlined details during a recent congressional hearing. Under the plan, the command’s soldiers would be on a one-to-two ration of deployment time and time at home, Toyo told the Senate Armed Services Committee. The change is possible because the command is gaining 1,585 more people who could fulfill manning requirements, AUSA reported.
