Ship Named for Aviation Pioneer

The Navy will name one of the next Arleigh Burke-classmissions during the Korean and Vietnam wars, retiring in 1988 after 33 years in uniform. He died last year. The ship that will bear his name is under construction at Huntington Ingalls Industries shipyard in Pascagoula, Miss. It should join the fleet in 2020.
