Individual Augmentee (IA) sailors can now download the latest information about the IA program onto their iPhone or iPod Touch, using a new smartphone application the Navy launched Sept. 1. The new ap, the first of its kind for the Navy, will allow IA sailors to communicate and share information with fellow sailors, family members, and their commands, while deployed and without Internet connectivity. To do so, they can simply log onto www.ia.navy.mil. IA sailors who have Internet access can tap into the information network via the program’s Facebook and Twitter sites, http://www.facebook.com/navyIA, and http://twitter.com/Navy_IA.
