Army leaders have selected Command Sgt. Maj. Daniel A. Dailey as the service’s 15th sergeant major of the Army. Dailey, now the command sergeant major of U.S Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), will replace current Sgt. Maj. of the Army Raymond F. Chandler III, who is retiring at the end of January. A native of Palmerton, Pa., Dailey joined the Army in 1989 and saw service as an infantryman during four deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and another in Operation Desert Storm. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Excelsior College in Albany, N.Y.
