TRICARE: Compare ’19 Plans Now

TRICARE, the military’s managed health-care program, is urging beneficiaries to review their plans for dental and vision coverage before new guidelines take effect next year. The agency’s web site, www.tricare.mil, has links that allow users to view 2019 Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP) options and rates. The site for this is Tricare.benefeds.com.
FEDVIP is open to retirees and their families who are eligible for the Tricare Retiree Dental Program (TDRP), which will end on Dec. 31. They also can enroll in FEDVIP if they are currently covered by a TRICARE health plan.
Family members of active-duty service members who are enrolled in a TRICARE plan also are eligible for vision coverage under FEDVIP. Persons with questions about eligibility also can find answers online at Tricare.benefeds.com.
