TRICARE Offers New Formulary Tool

TRICARE beneficiaries have a new avenue to use when they want to know if a prescription medication is available through the health-care agency’s participating pharmacies. Using the new TRICARE formulary search tool, participating service members and their families can perform a number of functions, such as: determining if a drug is Tier One ($3 copay), Tier 2 ($9 copay) non-formulary ($22 copay), or available only in generic form; look up criteria and fill out prior authorization and medical necessity forms; or look up information about a prescribed medication.
