TRICARE Walk-In Service Ending

As of April 1, TRICARE beneficiaries no longer will have to use the agency’s Web site – http://www.tricare.mil — to get answers to routine questions. Walk-in serviced at TRICARE service centers will end. Unlike the brick-and-mortar facilities, the Web site will be available for queries around the clock. Using it, they can change enrollment, primary-care management, and other options. Benefits will remain unchanged. The Defense Department expects to reap some $250 million in savings during the next five years by ending walk-up service.
