U.S., Japan Agree on Base Relocation

The U.S. and Japan have agreed to relocate Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, the Okinawa helicopter base that has become a lightning rod for relations between the two countries. Under the agreement, announced by the Pentagon May 28, Futenma will move to a less-populated area near Campo Schwab Henoko-saki on Okinawa.
