The floating dock above the USS Arizona Memorial has been repaired, a Navy Region Hawaii spokesman announced June 5. The dock had been damaged during a collision a week earlier, involving the hospital ship Mercy and two tugs that were moving it. The dock is used to provide visitor access to the memorial. Because of the damage, tours had been suspended until repairs could be complete. Japanese carrier-based planes sunk Arizona during the Dec. 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor.
