Service members who are evacuated due to combat-related injuries no longer have to wait one to two months before they begin receiving the additional $430 per month in combat-related injury rehabilitation pay to which they are entitled. They will draw the pay immediately, according to a Dec. 17 Army announcement. Active-duty service members will see the compensation listed under "fly deck pay" on their leave and earnings statements; for National Guard members and reservists, it will be listed under "other credits," with an explanation. More information about combat-related injury rehabilitation pay is at https://www.hrc.army.mil/site/Active/TAGD/TSGLI_CIP_Page/index.htm.
