The Army has compiled general information on a variety of civilian personnel matters in a “smart book,” including information and points of contact on a variety of topics of
interest to managers such as telework and other special work arrangements in such situations.
The goal of the smart book is to provide customers an easily accessible resource for information that may be needed in times of severe natural disasters. It will be updated and
expanded as additional guidance is provided on specific incidents.
