The Office of Personnel Management has scheduled a seminar
for June 15 – 17 for individuals tasked to lead, manage,
or conduct competitive sourcing activities in their
organizations.
Given at the Eastern Management Development Center in
Shepherdstown, W.Va., “Competitive Sourcing,” addresses
the need to examine commercial activities to determine
the most cost effective and efficient method of acquisition.
This seminar provides an introduction to the legal
framework and regulatory requirements underpinning this
initiative including the FAIR Act. Participants identify
and explore various approaches to meeting Office of
Management and Budget standards for success, including
A-76 cost comparison, streamlined cost comparison, direct
conversion, privatization, and joint partnerships. The
seminar also covers the performance-based service
contracting process, and the development of performance
work statements.
The $2,000 fee includes meals, lodging, tuition and course
