DHS has announced 11 contract awards through FirstSource, a small business set aside program, to acquire department-wide IT commodity products.
The contracts include networking equipment, wireless technology, imaging products, voice recognition technology, diverse business hardware and software, online data reporting services for order, delivery, warranty, asset, and spend tracking, as well as associated product maintenance, installation, and support, DHS said.
The department’s CIO, Scott Charbo, said the contracts would speed up the deliver of IT commodities and help integrate IT systems.
The FirstSource program complements the enterprise acquisition gateway for leading edge solutions program, which awarded 53 contracts recently to complete its final source selection, DHS said.
It also said the enterprise solutions office, within the procurement operations office, would act as the FirstSource program office.
The contracts went to: All Points Logistics, Inc., Computer World Services Corp., EG Solutions LLC, Government Acquisitions, Inc., GovPlace, iGov, Multimax Array, NCS Technologies, Inc., Net Direct Systems, LLC, ST Net-Apptis, and Wildflower International Ltd.
