The General Services Administration and the Office of
Management and Budget are requesting information in order
to accelerate the government wide analysis of three lines
of business to enhance and expand electronic government,
GSA has said.
It said it is seeking information related to government
line-of-business consolidation efforts in financial
management, human resources and grants management — in
the interest of establishing common solutions implemented
through target architecture and to increase efficiency
while driving down costs.
GSA said it is looking for common solutions including best
practices for enterprise transformation, business process
changes, technology innovation, key system interfaces and
migration strategies.
“The (request for information) allows for transparency and
partnership for the (line-of-business) effort to ensure all
interested parties both government and industry have an
opportunity to work with us to create solutions while
saving taxpayers’ dollars” said Karen Evans, Administrator
for E-Government and Information Technology.
