The Office of Personnel Management has announced that it is offering a new online course for supervisors and employees about measuring employee performance.
The two-hour course is available for free through OPM’s USA Learning website and walks users though a process for developing performance plans aligned with organizational goals and focused on achieving measurable results.
OPM said in a January 30 memo that it expects to see over 50 percent of an executive’s or employee’s performance plan focused on results.
The course includes example elements and standards developed for a variety of jobs, including clerical, technical, and professional positions, OPM said.
It said users would be tested at the end of the session and need to score at least 80 percent to be considered to have successfully taken the course.
