The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee has passed a bill aimed at improving program and project management.
The Senate previously approved S-1550, which would establish a council to be the primary interagency forum related to program and project management; add responsibilities to OMB; require agencies to designate a senior executive as the program management improvement officer; and establish standards for program and project management personnel.
Also, the Program Management Improvement Act would expand on certain management improvement efforts such as the one under the GSA’s performance improvement council.
