The Office of Personnel Management in partnership with
Acquisition Solutions, Inc., has scheduled a seminar for
July 12 — 16 for program managers responsible for
identifying mission-critical requirements and transforming
them into results-based contracts; managers responsible
for direct hires, managing contractors, and competitively
sourced functions; and, for government acquisition
professionals responsible for awarding and administering
contracts for professional, administrative, or technical
services.
Given in Washington D.C., “Seven Steps to Performance-Based
Acquisition and Effective Contract Performance Management,”
will focus on providing the skills needed to create
contracts that are results-focused, and manage contractor
performance successfully through completion.
The course combines contract theory, current federal
policy, and real-world contract management experience and
participants are encouraged to bring their current
acquisition requirements to the classroom, where they
will apply performance-based acquisition concepts to
develop the critical documentation and understanding
necessary for program success.
This course provides 24 professional development units by
the Project Management Institute and 2.4 CEUs. The $1,800
fee covers tuition and course materials but not lodging
