As a current student in the Graduate School USA, FY2018 Executive Potential Program, I have been seeking a detail assignment for months. I have contacted several federal agencies and even sought help from my agency leadership and the SEA, but to no avail. Even USAJobs only has postings for PMF, interns, co-ops or recent grads. Half of SES positions are career service but I’m struggling to find a detail assignment. Any advice? Blocked by moderator

Have you reached out to your agency’s Executive Resources Board (ERB)? They review SES applicants and performance evaluations. And presumably since your agency is funding your Program participation, they are committed to your success. And the Grad School may be able to help as well. I have never seen a CDP detail announced on USAJOBS but I’m surprised you haven’t gotten assistance from your agency HR office or by approaching SES members you know for assistance. Good luck!
