AF Pilot Shortage Abates

The Air Force’s pilot shortage is showing signs of abating. Air Force Magazine reported that chief of staff Gen. David Goldfein said the shortage trend roughly 2,000 pilots should reverse within the next five years. Numerous incentives, including bonuses of up to $430,000 spread over a 12-year period, have helped, Goldfein said.
