Army Maj. Gen. Dana J.H. Pittard, the deputy commander of operations in the Middle East, received a formal reprimand from Pentagon leadership amid allegations that he tried to give favor to a defense contractor owned by two of his West Point classmates. The reprimand followed a three-year probe that was triggered by an anonymous tip, the Washington Post reported. Despite the disciplinary action, there is no indication of Pittard’s removal from his position, the Post reported.
