Navy Incorporates New Transfer-Order Protocol

Most sailors now will be notified of transfers through the newly established Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS). The old Stand Transfer Orders system has been canceled. Sailors who transfer because of unit moves, unit decommissionings, base realignment or closure, overseas tour extension incentives, and enlisted separations and retirements are included. Sailors on all CVN aircraft carriers, the submarine tenders Emory S. Land and Frank Cable, and the command ship Mount Whitney are excluded, pending installation of NSIPS upgrades.
