The Army is gathering input from its youngest soldiers in moving forward with plans to use smart technology. The Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA) reported that Lt. Gen. Gwen Bingham, the assistant chief of staff for installation management, said her department is conducting a number of surveys of the ranks. She wants to know what junior soldiers and their families would like to see in their bases and housing units. Bingham also wants to know which services should be moved to either online or off-post providers, “so that we can rid ourselves of some of those noncore missions,” AUSA reported.
