The EEOC has scheduled several sets of training classes beginning with one June 19-22 on drafting effective final agency actions under EEO law that will cover elements and formats of various kinds of EEO final actions and when to use them; providing a complete procedural history leading to the final action; elements of a complete complaint/case file on which a finding can be made; combining the legal analysis with the pertinent facts and providing a concise conclusion setting forth the findings.
On June 24-28, the EEOC is offering a course that fulfills the training requirement for new EEO investigators, covering EEO law and theories of discrimination; elements of a disability discrimination case; and tools and techniques for planning and conducting investigations.
On July 8-12, the EEOC is offering a course that fulfills the training requirement for new EEO counselors, covering EEO law and regulations; communication skills; interviewing and counseling techniques; and recognizing claims of harassment.
On July 16, the EEOC is offering a course that fulfills the annual retraining requirement for EEO investigators, covering recent developments in federal sector EEO and how the changes affect investigation of complaints filed by federal employees.
