GSA’s 18F digital services agency has announced it is seeking new technical solutions to improve the Freedom of Information Act request process.
It said recently that it is exploring tools that improve the request submission experience, create a scalable infrastructure for making requests to federal agencies, and make it easier for requesters to find records and other information that have already been made available online.
18F said it is working with a FOIA task force with representation from the Department of Justice, the EPA and OMB to oversee the creation of new open source software resources.
