Booz Allen Hamilton Engineering Services, LLC, has been awarded a $413 million task order under the GSA Alliant government-wide acquisition contract to support Air Force flight and maintenance training systems and simulators, according to a Business Wire press release.

Agencies can get customized IT solutions from a widening pool of contractors through the Alliant contract, which has a $50 billion ceiling, and is designed to help agencies plan for long-term, large scale program requirements. GSA said that so far 40 agencies have awarded over $9 billion on Alliant, which runs 2009 – 2014 and has a five-year option that likely will last through 2019.

The award to Booz Allen is for one year, with four one-year options, and according to the press release, the company "will function as the systems integrator to design, develop, procure, analyze, and support Air Force aircraft flight and maintenance training systems and simulators."
