Prior to the government shutdown the Justice Department awarded Booz Allen Hamilton a $16.2 million contract to provide support to the operation and management of the Office of Justice Programs Diagnostic Center.
Also in late September, the company announced $34 contract under which it will be providing the Veterans Health Administration with help desk, contract project management, engineering, mobile device troubleshooting, patching, testing, installation, and documentation support.
VA Adds IT Provider to Commodities Contract
The Department of Veterans Affairs reportedly has added an IT provider to its five-year, $5 billion Commodity Enterprise Contract through which the department acquires devices such as desktop and tablet computers, as well as networking applications, storage and security platforms.
According to VA, it selected Iron Bow Technologies (which will team with All Points Logistics, a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business), to provide hardware, software and IT services. Iron Bow will utilize existing partnerships with Cisco, EMC, HP, NetApp and others, to deliver solutions for secure mobile computing, telehealth, unified communications and data center consolidation, the press release said:
