DHS has awarded a contract for remote sensing technology to Aero-Metric to aid in incident management.

Aero-Metric, which is owned by Quantum Spatial, said in a press release that the indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity award would allow DHS components to contract with the company directly to process imagery or LiDAR information within 48 hours in support of incident management, among other DHS goals.

"Giving them access to imagery from before, during, and after incidents allows valuable insight to be gained with regard to response and rescue operations, damage assessment, debris removal, and providing support to citizens affected," said Scott Perkins, AeroMetric’sVP of federal programs.
