GSA has issued a request for information for the NS2020 Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions – EIS, acquisition initiative, intended to replace the current Networxtelecom and networking contracts.

According to the solicitation on FedBizOpps (QTA00NS14THI3001), the goal of the NS2020 Strategy is to become the federal government’s strategic sourcing center for network-based and network-enabled services.

The Office of Network Services Programs, within the Federal Acquisition Service’s Office of Integrated Technology, developed the NS2020 strategy to provide for the IT / Telecom requirements of its agency customers, the solicitation said. It said akey part of the NS2020 strategy is the EIS acquisition initiative, which in addition toincludingthe requirements for the Networx successor contracts, will have additional capabilities to meet the comprehensive range of agency IT / telecom requirements through 2028.

Eventually, Northeast, Central and West infrastructure solutions acquisition initiatives will be migrated into the EIS contract, which GSA envisions as an indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity multiple award set of contracts.
