GSA’s 18F is continuing to develop an online platform on which users can post and bid on small tasks – currently focused on its own needs.
Several contributors began work on the platform last fall and 18F said development would continue amid interest on the part of both vendors and the government.
GSA says it will continue posting batches of new tasks onto the micro-purchase platform in the coming weeks, and bidders will once again have an opportunity to contribute open source code to 18F projects by bidding on them through the platform. Currently tasks start at no more than $3,500 following a reverse auction format can go down to one dollar.
