The Patent and Trademark Office has announced a career fair for veterans with specialized IT experience for Friday, June 13 – 14 at its headquarters in Alexandria VA.
It said it has openings in the areas of cybersecurity, data architecture, desktop support, software engineering development, systems development and testing, and web development, among others. The agency didn’t say exactly what positions are open but USAJOBS has leads for four IT project managers, two lead IT specialists (LINUX), and four systems development leads. Salaries for those positions range from $89,000 to $139,000.
The free event will offer veterans who are transitioning or have recently transitioned from active duty the opportunity to interview on the spot. A panel of current USPTO veteran employees will share personal stories of success in transitioning from active duty to federal service.
