The VA announced it demoed its new Clinical Video Telehealth scheduling software for veteran service organizations at the Washington VA Medical Center to get the word out on the new system and garner feedback.
The department announced recently that its telehealth programs served over 690,000 veterans during fiscal 2014 for a total of about 2 million sessions. Over half of those online visists were with veterans in rural areas.
“As we launch new programs and services, it is important to include our VSO partners,” said VA secretary Robert McDonald, adding, “Today’s demonstration is an important part of our collaborative process.”
